Repairing damaged or failed systems can be a lengthy process impacting on your ability to function efficiently. With our unique service you continue working, while we carry out the essential repairs.

Disasters by their very nature will strike quickly and render your business critical systems unusable. Be it through fire, flood, theft, damage or hardware failure. The loss of a server or servers will have a massive impact on your productivity and turnover.

A Catastrophic failure of a server will affect  each business differently. Typically the services most affected are;

  • Company Documentation including letters, contracts, spread sheets, presentations,   procedures and manuals.
  • Email, Contact’s and Calendars.
  • Database’s and bespoke applications, (Invoicing and payroll).
  • Network and Internet connections.
  • Remote worker capabilities. (VPN and Remote Desktop  Services).

Microsoft’s  white paper on lead times for replacing a working server is 5 days.

To replace a failed, destroyed or stolen server may be considerably longer.  You may already have a backup process but the chances are it only covers your data. Using our method will back up the entire server, (Operating System, Services and Data). This means that time consuming installations and configuration is eliminated from any recovery situation.

The true cost of server failure is the loss of business. The equipment can always be replaced, but existing and potential clients want your services now! How much will this cost you?

We offer Rapid Disaster Recovery Services that aim to have you operational with the minimum downtime.

Using virtual server technologies we will restore your system to a point of business continuity.* While you carry on working, we will arrange for the replacement or repair of your damaged server or servers. Even in the extreme circumstance where your place of work is destroyed by fire. With the right disaster recovery package in place, we could have your server operational for remote access for your staff from home!

A variety of Rapid Recovery plans are available and can be customised to suit both your requirements and your budget. The guide below is designed to give you an idea of what is available. It allows for 3 standardised models, Basic, Advanced and Ultimate, all of which can be added to, using a number of “bolt-on” options.

*Average time from disaster to business continuity is 4 hours. Depending of the level of cover undertaken, addition recovery of data from your traditional data backup may also be required.

Basic Package

The Basic option will take a snap shot of your server over night. This snap shot will be stored as a Virtual Machine file on an External USB Hard Disk Drive. A minimum of 3 USB Hard Disk Drives will be required (5 are recommended).

In the event of a disaster a pre-built loan server will be delivered to you and the previous nights snap shot will be recovered. This should run along side your existing data backup.

Advanced Package

The Advanced option works the same way as the Basic option. The main difference here is that specialised Robust System Recovery software will be used. System recovery software, is capable of running incremental snaps shots every 15 minutes. This reduces the recovery time significantly.

In the event of a disaster a pre-built loan server will be delivered to you and the previous nights snap shot will be recovered. This also allows for single file level recovery.

Ultimate Package

The Ultimate option is the Advanced option with the addition of off-site replication. This greatly improves the redundancy of your System Recovery Service.

In the event of a disaster, we will already have your last backup. This can be recovered to a Loan Server and delivered to site. As soon as it is connected to your network, you will be up and running.

Bolt-on Extras

  • Service Monitoring.
  • Off-site storage.
  • Monthly / Weekly Master copy collection.
  • Virtual Office Remote Access.
